Former Ukrainian government official welcomes dismissals

KYIV. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Anatoly Kinakh, recently dismissed as Ukrainian first deputy prime minister, believes that the series of dismissals in the Ukrainian government will create the conditions necessary to form a qualitatively new authority. "I hope that everything that is currently happening in Ukraine is a stage of renewal, a cleansing, a stage in the creation of a qualitatively new authority based on moral and professional principles, with the interests of society and the state as a priority," Kinakh told journalists on Thursday. Kinakh said that the question of which post he may be given in the next government is not of primary importance to him. "I am ready to work at a post where I can use my experience, my intellect and my principles as fully as possible, to serve the interests of society and the state," Kinakh said.
