Yes! And Russia will not qualify for World Cup!!!! Because it takes more than money to be good at something.

: Ukraine takes it easy, as Turkey match of no importance. Thousands of Ukrainian fans celebrate in downtown Kyiv and paint their faces yellow and blue.

: Turkey kept their FIFA World Cup™ playoff hopes alive on Wednesday with a 1-0 win away against qualified finalists Ukraine.
: Locked in a battle with Greece and Denmark for a playoff place, Turkey needed three points from the European zone Group Two game in Kiev after Greece beat Kazakhstan 2-1 earlier in the day.

: In an otherwise even game, Turkey went ahead in the 55th minute with a goal from Besiktas midfielder Tumer Metin.

: Not that Ukraine were bothered -- nothing could spoil their party mood knowing they had already booked their ticket to next year's finals in Germany.

: In the group, Greece are two points behind second-placed Turkey but have a game in hand.

: Turkey coach Fatih Terim said: "We knew that only a victory would do in Kiev and my lads gave all their efforts for this.

: "We achieved our goal -- we won and now the battle for the playoffs is in our hands," Terim told reporters.

: "I believe that in a year's time we will be going with Ukraine to the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany."

: On Wednesday evening, Kiev's main street was packed with people draped in national flags. Even the players joined in the fun on the pitch, playing the match with small flags painted on their faces.

: Despite the night's result, the home fans started a big celebration after the game at the stadium -- their first chance to congratulate their players because the team had been playing away in Georgia on Saturday when they qualified.

: It is the first time Ukraine have qualified for the World Cup finals. Ukrainians have played there as part of Soviet Union teams but since the collapse of communism in 1991 they had previously failed to qualify for a major international tournament.

: "Even though we lost 1-0, we showed, in my opinion, better football than when we beat Turkey 3-0 in Turkey (in November 2004)," Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin said.

: "We are very happy that we have fulfilled our main aim and that we will be taking part in the World Cup finals."
