Fellow Ukrainians in the Diaspora in the USA,

Its time to stand up and be counted. Our homeland (the USA) has suffered a great tragedy equal to that of September 11 for us New Yorkers.

I am asking that all Ukrainians in the USA take a moment and think what you could do for the suffering souls in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast - then do it. It could be as small a token as writing a check or making an online donation, or it could be finding out if your medical training might be needed there as well. See if somewhere there is a need for people to pack supplies or to man phones or something.

Ukrainians always stood up and never backed down so let's show that same resolve now and demonstrate that we truly are deserving of our Cossack Heritage as our ancestral homland's national anthem says we are.
