I don´t understand why you are being silly and petty. If my parents were born there in Ukraine and i was born here, then i am first generation american, right? or am I off by one. Most American events of Ukrainian origin are now held in suburbia leaving few but the aged to attend events in the East Village of New York City.

: We may hold a Thanksgiving Dinner this fall. But then Americans of Ukrainian origin will justifiably be with their families.
