Actually most human rights organizations consider the Kuchma regeime to have had a better human rights record. Kuchma was instrumental in passing the criminal code of Ukraine in Sept. 2001, article 149, provides penalties of up to 12 years in prison for someone committing the acts described in the BBC news article. Again, all this was in place under Kuchma. Please tell us what Yushenko has done for human rights in Ukraine?
