my understanding is that Mr. Singerman traveled to Ukraine to meet the woman he was interested in marrying, with whom he had corresponded with.
The woman he corresponded with was not Irina. He met her while he was there and transferred his affections to her.

Are foreign exotic beauties the current trend in "trophy wives"? and are wealthy men intent on purchasing them? I know of another man who did marry a Russian bride and they are happy together. So it does work out but language as well as culture can be difficult to overcome as barriers.

Also keep in mind that the suspected killer is Irina's alleged boyfriend NOT the husband who did not even know that she was having a relationship with someone else. Anyway that is what he says. I did think that it was a bit odd that the newly married couple spent so much time apart but that is common in some marriages. Who knows - maybe the husband knew she was having an affair and had her killed and the boyfriend set up? who knows but the story will not come out until Cullen is caught.
