: : That's what you get for believing in a Jewish understanding of God - you are told to deny your own forefathers and exalt others.
: It has nothing to do with denying your forefathers.
???????????????????? What?
Let me backtrack -
you wrote (and I am simplifying)
nationalism = bad because catholic first then nationalist. In a conflict where it is a choice - where would your loyalties lie? as a child of God, of course. That is why as you pointed out nationalism is dangerous.
: As for the dangers of exalting yourself, Jesus addressed that one himself:
: Because every one that exalteth humself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. (Luke 14:11)
perhaps, I was not clear - I meant that you as a believer in the Bible, exalt other people's forefathers (in no way, was I referring to exalting oneself) and used the word exalt - to mean revere not put forward. I think I should have written you are taught to revere stranger's forefathers and not your own. Do you know your own genealogical table as well as you know the descendants of Noah and others? Have you ever read your own people's history - Tales of Bygone Days?
Aside from which - how do you deal with the issue of being "unclean" on a monthly basis? and a lower class human being all because you happened to be born a woman. It cracks me up that you are willing to accept "law" from a book written by men, for men and about men.
