Ukrainian Pavlo Rezvoy,an entrant in the Atlantic Ocean Rowing Regatta 2004, that started on January 20th from a Canarian Island of La Gomera headed to Barbados, is showing brilliant results. For now this 65-years old geologist from Lviv is maintaining the second place among solos and in 5 days has covered 323 km (174 nautical miles)! During the last contact (on satellite phone)with the Ocean Rowing Society (the organisers of the event) he said: "Everything is fine, I am not rowing my heart out, but I have a good following wind of 15 knotts. I feel really happy"
Pavel Rezvoy is father of Theodore Rezvoy (the first Ukrainian to cross the Atlantic ocean in a rowing boat solo in 2001)and the oldest person to ever row any ocean. Follow his progress and see the photos of the start on www.oceanregatta.com
