One is hard struck to see any improvement in the standard of living in Ukraine. There are no jobs. The corruption is very wide spread. My first impression on visiting my homeland again was very disappointing. At the airport in Lviv, the customs officers, the raracketeers, and the police are in together on cheating the people traveling through the airport. Collecting money from everybody forcably is like having to pay to get into the country. It scares away tourists and their money. Money these tourists are prepared to leave in Ukraine if only treated normally as in Western Europe and Canada. During Leonid Kuchma's time as President, corruption in Ukraine has been growing without noticable goverment intervention. Why aren't you doing anything Leonid?
