Well, I think you are Russified in a bigger sense of this word. You see the reality in Ukraine almost the same way most Russians see it. For them, for instance, it could be a huge surprise to know that more than half of Kyiv's population speak Ukrainian in their everyday life. They (Russians) strongly believe that Ukrainians do not need any Ukrainian newspapers, TV-channels, etc. It is only now that some big newspapers started publishing in Ukrainian. Then, for some strange reason, "Mirror Weekly" started having problems selling their Russian issues.
Again, the total input of the Ukrainian Diaspora to the business of restoring Ukrainian language in Ukraine is practically equal ZERO. So far "Diaspora" has been great badmouthing Ukraine and its people, creating some nice "picture" for the Western investors.
