I was studying in University and had 3 jobs and I couldn't afford to support just myself. 5 years later I go back home twice a year to see my family. I help them financialy, I send them packages all the time.
Did you ever consider supporting a political party that aims to change things so that your family can provide for themselves?
I help my friends as much as I can and I comsider myself more productive know in helping somebody then being in Ukraine and realize that you helpless. I cry when I go home.

True. Yet, it is not helpless newborn kittens we are talking about here. People have brains, even though under the commies they developed the reflex blocking the use of brains so as not to lose heads. But that is an acquired reflex and can be removed. People can be taught how to become free and to stay free. Now, that can only be done by those who already are free. Like you and me.
Is it there fault? No... There is nothing you can do till Ukranian Govermant will start realizing that in couple of hunred years there won't be such a county as Ukraine.
Let's see. You are saying, nobody can do anything, except for the givernment. Not the current government, because this government does not care. Therefore the only way something gets chaged is that we get a government that cares. However we cannot have such a government precisely because we believe that nobody can do anything, except for the government . See the catch? We believe in your premise -- we lose, we don't believe it -- we can win. I suggest we don't believe it.
People who believed in Ukraine and staid in country got punished the most. Don't fight... you can't change it, nobody can, but Ukrainian Goverment and they don't care.
Do you remember Cardinal Rihelieu's famous words about the government?
I feel sory for my country, I think there is no such a nation that has big hart and strong will as Ukrainians and I know that time will come and hole world will hear again about Ukrainians, but not now.
Well, I'm afraid it's now or never. It's like leaving someone to drown in the hope that she learns how to swim later. Makes no sense, yet in a weird way psychologically comforting for those who don't want to get wet and save. Think about it.
