Why does not Ukraine convert all public schools to the Ukrainian language? All kindergarten converted year one, first grade year two, and so on. After ten years of structured conversion (and Ukrainian history lessons)the Russian language will begin to become extinct in Ukraine because the first language of all children will be Ukrainian. During the time of conversion all teachers who teach in Ukrainian language are to be paid higher wages (just the opposite of russification during soviet/Russian occupation when Russian teachers were paid more. Is such a solution too obvious/simple? Why do not leaders at local levels do this rather than wait for national level.
