: Listen, a respected magazine gave results of a poll, in which absolute majority considers themselves Ukrainians. Period. :
RE: “A respected magazine” Can you be specific? Do you mean that Ukraine in a super-corrupt environment can generate a respected magazine? Than, of course, the ECMI document generated by international experts can represent only a forgery.
“ During the communists era the “Misceva vlada” had a luxury to ignore it, because Kreml’ ordered that all Rusyns will be Ukrainians. Period. Of course, the communists in these countries complied, but not current governments. Currently, there are 25 000 Rusyns in Hungary and only 2000 Ukrainians, and in Slovakia 17 000 Rusyns and 13 000 so called Rusyns-Ukrainians, a compound word invented by communists such as Mikola Mushinka. However, all (50 000) claimed that Rusyn is their native language and not Ukrainian.
: Let me get this straight: you claim all Rusyns who speak Ukrainian and consider themselves Ukrainian are communists?
RE: Yes, the former communists, some of them even now are communists, were the main representatives who were forcing the Ukrainian nationality upon Rusyns. The outcome is that out of 150 000 Rusyns, only 50 000 do not consider themselves Slovak. Since the very basic right, namely to be Rusyn, had been taken away from them by communists serving Kiyev and Moscow, over 100 000 Rusyns became rather Slovaks than to comply with forced ukrainization.
“… Why would it be “nebezpeka” for Ukraine if the climate for investments in Mukachevo (Subcarpathia) turned out to be better that in Koshice (Slovakia) or in Debrecen (Hungary)?
: The reporter isn't talking about economic development as "nebezpeka", but rather about separatism as a clear danger to unity of Ukraine.
RE: There has never been a significant development toward separatism. It is the Soviet paranoia in heads of Ukrainian nationalists. They want good environment for investments.
: : Інформаційна та фінансова підтримка з-за кордону і є тим живильним вогнем, що не дає вкінець згаснути жевріючому багаттю русинства на Закарпатті. "
: : RE: Crap!
: Take is easy, accept the facts and come again.
RE: I am taking it easy. It’s only 700 000 Rusyns live in that misery generated during 9 years by Samostijniky. Majority of Rusyns are out from Subcarpathia, while majority of Ukrainians are in Ukraine "enjoying" the miserable life. It can be accepted as “facts” to the same degree as “facts” that all Ukrainians are anti-Semites and Nazis.
: : Very little financial support is obtained from abroad. It should be 10-to-100-fold more than it is currently provided. Why should it be bad for Ukraine if people of Subcarpathia get more financial support?
: Not "people of Subcarpathia", the Rusyn movement of Zakarpattia, mind, not a lot of people support it.
RE: People of Subcarpathia includes first of all Rusyns. If “not a lot of people” why is this big fuss generated by Ukrainian nationalists?
: : RE: Ten-years of “tupcovania” was only in Subcarpathia because Ukrainian bureaucrats suffer from the Bolshevik paranoia and refused to recognize fully Rusyns as a minority. They have been as a Rusyn nation for thousand years. Currently, they are recognized in Hungary, Slovakia, Czech republic, Yougoslavia, Romania, Poland and USA. They are the same minority as any other.
: Listen, the reporter is just saying that Rusyns aren't interested in Rusyn idea anymore. As for all of your "bolshevik" and "communist" tags on Ukr. government, well, what a surprise this is for you, only communists support Rusyn movement in Zakarpattia among somewhat major political parties.
RE: See above the question! In addition, why did the communist Kravchuk abolish the historical request for self-governing status, if communists supported it?
: : Нова місцева влада, на відміну від попередньої, не проявляє сентиментів до творення окремого народу, а навпаки — переповнена українською патріотичнoю риторикою."
: : RE: Nonsense, the previous local government was headed by Mr. Ustich. This guy was not from Subcarpathia. As far as I know, he was from Podolia or Galicia. Regarding the rethoric, it is worthless in the whole Ukraine because it is heavily tainted by the Bolshevik culture.
: There we go again.
RE: Very valid argument of yours.
: : RE:”.. Academician Mushinka belongs into the category of academician Lysenko, the pride of Ukrainian science. He significantly contributed to slovakization of Rusyns by the forced ukrainization. This was the Stalin’s and Ukrainian Bolsheviks' official policy that Rusyns in Slovakia have to be Ukrainians. And Rusyns rather become Slovaks or Madiars than Ukrainians. “
Before Rusynska obroda emerged there was 0 students studying Rusyn language and history.
: That's all you've got to say? Well, from 0 to 69, a big progress.
RE: The author did not mention that, with exception of the Ukrainian embassy employees, nobody wants to study the Ukrainian language. Comparing to the data how has been decreasing the number of students studying Ukrainian language, it is a huge success. Take in consideration that the first teachers of Rusyn language will be graduating in two years. They number are increasing every year. On the other hand, the Ukrainian language teachers are unemployed because there are no students. This is the reason why Academician Mikola Mushinka has been crying
: : RE: Sad is that Ukrainians cannot grasp that the preservation of Rusyn language and culture can only benefit Ukraine.
: : I have red the whole article and it carries all attributes of the Bolshevik culture that, unfortunately, is deeply ingrained in minds of people in Ukraine. One cannot do anything but wait for a new generation.
: Jaja. So what about communists supporting Rusyn separatist bahattia?
RE: Jaja, the communists just changed the color of the flag. They substituted the red communistic flag by blue and yellow color of Ukrainian nationalism and that’s why they cannot support Rusyns.
What about the article from professor Ivan Pop and the ECMI document?
