I don't know exactly why Jews were hated thru centuries by different nations but there maybe some reasons:
1. "Rodina yevreya tam gdie est' den'gi" (Native country of a Jew is where the money is), these are the words of Karl Marx. I read this sentence somewhere in the Russian language newspaper but I didn't check if really Marx said this.
In his book "Jewish power: inside the American Jewish establishment" published in 1996 author J.J. Goldberg shows the picture of 1990-s: more Jews come to US than to Israel.
I talked to one Jew in Ukraine who had a chance to go to Canada but waited for a possibility to go to US instead. "Kanada-eto nie tot razmah" said that prospective "refugee". Moreover, as you may know, many former Soviet Jews after receiving "refugee status" from the US Embassy in Moscow wait for years before they leave former USSR. Why do you think they do this? Because they wait for more favourable terms (for example, they wait until their retirement age comes up in order to get SSI right away after they enter US). Also they do fictitious separations in order to get more SSI money from the US Government. For married couple it's less than for 2 separated people.
Take any Russian language newspaper published in US and call people who advertise their help in auto accidents. They will help you to cheat auto insurance (certainly for their benefit, you don't pay but insurance does). That's why auto insurance goes up every year.
2. Jews usually side with more powerful, that's the reason why Soviet Jews call themselves "russkoyazyzhnymi" despite the fact that they were born and lived in different republics of the former USSR.
3. Old saying goes: "Liudy zhyvut' z zemli, a zhydy zhyvut' z liudey".
4. Jews like to be unique in their sufferings. You are constantly bombarded about Holocaust in the US, but only Jews are mentioned. Not a word about Gypsies, homosexuals or disabled people. Will you ever hear about "holodomor" in Ukraine from the same medias? Almost never.
Now you see where hatred of Jews comes from, certainly not from their religious believes, as many authors want to prove in their books about antisemitism.
