He significantly contributed to slovakization of Rusyns by the forced ukrainization. This was the Stalin’s and Ukrainian Bolshevik official policy that Rusyns in Slovakia have to be Ukrainians and Rusyns rather become Slovaks or Madiars than Ukrainians.
