This is very nice observation. My opinion is that they are realy facing some difficulties to upgrade themselves to the new realities and still do exist in a forgotten sub - Ukrainian country -side hamlet.
There are quite a lot of serious problems they could help the country out, i.e. the national reintegration, analyse of the dark sides of the Ukrainian mentality and so far. Unfortunatelly the old good folks prefer to use the same gardens as they were using 30 years ago.
But how they could be capable to address the issues in question if they are not in a position to be self-critical and enough capable to achieve some diaspora unity under the new sircumstances. Vice versa some sober bright brains are avoiding to be associated with such relictous individuals.
