I take great pride in being Ukrainian, even though I was not raised to speak the language, and only attended very minimal Ridna Shkola. For someone to deny me my Identity I find horrifying and insulting. As a young college student, I now have an opportunity to search desperately for someone to teach me what I do not know. I cannot speak the language. But I was a dancer, and an altar boy, and I did attend Ridna Shkola for a bit. I am a Uke because my blood is Ukie. I simply haven't had the same opportunity. I hope this sways those of other opinions.
