Sorry, it is you who are mistaken. Look closer at the book. (perhaps you cannot but I have a copy) It is absolutely in Russian, not in Transcarpathian Ukrainian dialect. Our Ukrainian dialects (even those used by political Rusynist separatists) do not have letter Э - this should be your first clue. (not that you have one anyway)
What is even more laughable (not that this is not an outrage and not very funny at all) is that this "Carpatho-Russian Ethnic Research Center" is run by a family (А.Шабак, К.Шабак) who hate the "Rusyn" establishment (Magocsi et al.) and proclaim themselves Russians even though their father comes from a ethnographically Slovak village. They used to publish a newspaper Carpatho-Russian [sic] Echoes in illiterate "Russian" language, etymological alphabet, which proclaimed that Zakarpattia and all Ukrainian lands were Russian until the Vatican created the Ukrainian nation. It never had support among Carpatho-Ukrainians in the USA so it died out. Now they are engaging in a much more serious form of treason against Ukraine and her people and her sovereignty, publishing their lies in the heart of Ukrainian Zakarpattia. God have mercy on them.
It is no wonder Ivan Pop had to flee Ukraine and seek asylum in Czech Republic, if he were still in Ukraine he would be in jail where he belongs.

That publishing house should be shut down and those responsible for this rot should be put on trial for treason against Ukraine. Of course this like all subversive literature is published in Russian and not the language of the people or their country - which is UKRAINA not ROSSIA. Carpatho-Russia does not and has never existed. Lies, lies, lies!
