Try a geneological website like ancestry.com. Maybe that will help you. But you need to have the correct spellings of the names of Ukrainian cities, not the incorrect germanized spellings. First of all, it's Ukraine, not "the" Ukraine. Chernihiv, not "Tschernigow". Kharkiv, not "Charkow". Also, "Nikolaj" in Ukrainian is Mykola. Good luck in your search.
