Sun Microsystems Corp. publically offered Ukrainian government to use for free ukrainian localised StarOffice that is running at ukrainian localised Linux platforms.
Microsoft in their turn never made public the text of the questionable agreement with the Ukrainian government. Microsoft secrecy does not help to promote open competitive software business in Ukraine.
Most of the Ukrainian universities already made their de-facto choise in favor of Ukrainian localised Linux ans StarOffice platforms simply because of Microsoft reluctance to localise their products in Ukrainian.
Microsoft most probably will lose Ukraine because of their weak and unprofesional business decisions made by their Moskow office.
Microsoft desktop/server OS share in Ukraine has dropped around 10-20% for the last 6 month according to ukrainian monitor tech survey.
