Who knows? Maybe he wants to lay claim to bigger fish? Ethnic Ukrainian territory extends further than the border that exists today. I think one of the old Beauplan maps that I once saw includes Kuban in Ukraine. And let's not forget the Ukrainians that were forcibly moved out of what is Poland today - the entire Lemko region. There's a nice big reservoir where my father's town once was - I'm sure Western Ukraine would benefit greatly from reclaiming that area. Not to mention that the oil pipeline deal that is designed to bypass Ukraine would instead go through Ukraine.
All a dream, of course, but a nice dream.
