: :: Hi Moshe!
: : It looks that you like to mix all things together.
: RE: What exactly are those “all things”?

For example, you tell me what Taras said, or suddenly reminds me about Bohdan Khmelnytsky, or tells me what Yanko said. Look at your statement which I'm pasting right now from your message(you posted it on June 29): "As a Ukrainian, you should keep in mind the tradition of pogroms that started with Ukrainian Cossack Leader Bogdan Khmelnicky and try to deal with it". Here I can tell you that you are more responsible for deeds of Lazar Kaganovich than I am about Khmelnytsky. Why did you start discussion about pogroms is also total mystery to me. What is interesting that every anti-Ukrainian will tell you about Khmelnytsky and you are among them. Pogroms go back to pharaohs but word "pogrom" is in use probably since 1860-s.

: You probably like cocktails very much.
: RE: No, I do not drink cocktails. What is your favorite drink?

I like almost everything.

: Here I don't see any question for me,
: RE: This is the Yanko’s sentence: "Anyway, I hear Hitler had some Jewish blood in him, so according to your perverse logic Jews now should feel guilty for Hitler, oder?" Since you are Moshe, I thought that you might be in a position to address at least the first part of this question.

In this situation you had to remind me what you thought and ask a question. First of all, this might be only one sentence from the series of your discussins with Yanko and I don't know what was going on. I didn't experience in full your "perverse logic" yet and hope will not. Keep in mind, that I'm not a simple Moshe, riff-raff guy, I am MOSHE DAYAN and I don't like to deal with OBS (odna babka skazala) questions.

: but what is nationalistic influence anyway?
: RE: The original sentence indicated a negative nationalistic influence and defined as follows: a kind of influence that is manifested by increased intolerance. (e.g. mild form – Taras’ slogans [see above], malignant form – a pogrom by Cossacks or by skinheads—Nazi toughs).

Naionalistic influence - a pogrom by Cossacks? Are you serious, Joe?

: You go as far as Bohdan Khmelnytsky but can you go further or your knowledge just suddenly stops there?
: RE: I have no problem to go further. Before Bogdan Khmelnicky, there were Nabuchodonosor and Titus. After Bogdan Khmelnicky, there were Adolf Hitler and Adolf Eichman.

So, why are you telling me that pogroms started with Khmelnytsky?

: Pogrom is not a Ukrainian word
: RE: I never claimed.

I just explained to you.

: and why this things happened you have slightest idea.
: RE: Is this a question?

It's not a question, it's my opinion about your credentials as a "pogrom" expert.

: Next time you read a book about pogroms look who wrote it.
: RE: I always do. What it has to do with proven historical events?

It means if you talk about events but not explain causes picture is only partially visible.

: If you want to know, Joe, many Ukrainians in Galicia called themselves Rusyns not so long ago.
: RE: Yes I do know it very well. And I hope that Rusyns in Subcarpathia can remaine as they are (Rusyns), and they won’t be called Ukrainians only because in Galicia they call themselves Ukrainians.

You are very anti-Ukrainian. I didn't meet such Rusyns so far. How many of you have the same feelings?

:
: And now, this is specially for you, Joe:
: RE: I am deeply touched by your graciousness.
:
: : Mala baba try syny,
: : Troye buly Rusyny,
: : Odyn hodyv do shkoly,
: : Drygyi kuvav pidkovy,
: : A tretiy, rozpusniak
: : Vylliav babi kapusniak.

: : Were you the third one, Joe?
: RE: You know better. However, I heard another version of this story. During a pogrom of a village inhabited by Rusyns and Jews, a Cossack with his horse run into a yard and “vylliav babi kapustniak.”
: This Cossack was from Zaporizzia and, unlike Taras Bulba, he spoke Ukrainian.

Are you still about pogroms? Rusyns were also victims?

: : Let's talk about Soviet commissars next time and how it happened that millions of innocent people in Ukraine were killed or starved to death and nobody is responsible so far? Many of those commissars with well rounded bellies are still alive and became refugees in US, Israel and other contries. Moreover, they brought all of their families with them and tell everybody they … … How do you like that?

: RE: I have no problem to talk about it, though I do not like at all when innocent people suffer, irrespective of their ethnicity. However, I would like to know, why are you lamenting here, and why aren’t you doing something about it? Simon Wisenthal was capable to collect evidence and successfully challenge a number of Nazi criminals in the court of law. I am convinced that having clear-cut evidence of crimes against humanity, these “comissars” would be prosecuted. But keep in mind, allegations have to be tested in the court of law.

Do you work for Simon Wisental center?

Good luck. Moshe Dayan.
