To Moshe,
RE: Unlike Boris Pasternak, the poet Tychyna served to promulgate Stalin's "kul't lychnosti"and the imperialistic glory of USSR. It has no sense to paint him only as a victim of the Stalin's regime as Yanko would like to.
"...where you didn't like my name."
RE: Simply, it is not true. I pointed out that Moshe Dayan was a great man. Read my previous comments again.
“Well, as I said earlier, my reply was to "deputatkhmara" whose email address is based in Israel. It seems that you have nothing again "deputatkhmata", do you?
RE: I do have objection against this statement: “You don't belong to Ukraine, so your opinion is irrelevant.” Why should “deputatkhmara’s” comment be irrelevant only, because his email address is based in Israel? Don’t you think that this is ridiculous and unacceptable?
“You have to decide yourself about your qualifications.”
RE: I like it very much. Ukrainians who speak Russian have to decide themselves whether they will continue to use Russian or Ukrainian language; similarly Rusyns have to decide themselves whether they are Rusyns, Slovaks or Ukrainians, and a judgement of relevance of “deputatkhmara’s” opinion should never depend upon location of an email address.
All the best , Joe
P.S. You can find very similar statements on this board from Yanko resembling yours, such as “You are not from Ukraine, therefore your opinion is irrelevant; or Rusyns, in the US, you did not even know whether you are Rusyns or Russians etc.
