Yes, consumers have the power, etc. You still can't make consumers buy something if that that something doesn't exist. The whole talk about "Ukrainians must be patriots, period" simply does not inspire neither me, neither those "Ukrainians". You can't make some woman buy some "patriotic publications" if all she wants right now is some nice-looking, colorful magazine for women. Can she buy such magazine in Ukrainian? Nope. How about in Russian? No problem! Same goes for sport magazines, daily news, tabloids, etc, etc, etc. That's how a language space is formed: by printing something that people like to read, not by lecturing them on what "bad, bad Ukrainians they are" and how they should "band together and fight" for some beautiful cause. Everybody knows that already.
: Once again I will put my 2 cents in.Newspapers depend on people that read them,if a person writes to the Newspaper they might not pay attention.But you get 100(hundred) or more and write to the Newspaper they dam well will pay attention.Its how is done because it shows people are interested what the paper prints,or what language they use.Thats called people unity and demand what people want to read,or they will not buy.If people ignor or do not pay attention and buy other Newspaper there will be no change,just bunch of complaints between themsels.Same thing goes radio,television,newspapers and magazines on and on,there is no end to this.The people have the buying power not producer or manufactuer but it has to be demanded by group of people the larger the better it show unity.About Rossia being poor my good man,Rossia is one of the richest countries in the world.They always had slaves from other countries to fight for them.But now only poor Rossians for the army,and plenty of money for the equipment and ammunition.Most Rossiany are brain washed and poor but they are happy to have"Strong Powerful and Rich Rossia. Army has a slogan"For mother Rossia"and they go thru fire,water,ice and hell to gain more territory for the elite.Rossia spends more money in former soviet republics for propaganda and cause problems so maybe they will gain back what soviet union had,and they doing good job of it, confusing lots of weak minded people .But they need the most important number one to join them first it is "Ukraine" and rest will in place.
