: Let's think for a while about this serious problem in Ukraine: total lack of Ukrainian language newspapers. I don' think it is some conscious policy of Ukraine's government that you can't buy in Kyiv any newspaper in Ukrainian. It is not a secret that most of Russian language newspapers is sponsored from Russia.
: TO OUR DEAR UKRAINIAN DIASPORA: Could you please tell me, how come poor Russia can sponsor thousands of publications in Ukraine, while you, our dear Ukrainian Americans, Canadians, etc. could not publish one single Ukrainian newspaper that was interesting, popular among Ukrainians, and could be bought on every corner in Kyiv?

Well I will try to give some answers:When Ukrainians imegrated to Canada and America,these people did not bring wealth with them.They just ran away from dominating Russia,Poland and Hungro-Austrian and others so on and on.Very few people had higher education,its hard to become rich in these countries with out education.At the same time these people build churches,community centers,formed orgaizations,printed papers plus helped their relatives and families in Ukraine,beside raising their own families.When you go to church or any affair there are alway's people collecting for something in Ukraine or some other causes.Now the older people are dieing out,their chidren inter marrieing Canadians,Americans and so on and on.The new imegrants that come here helping their families too. Besides these two countries are very large,and Ukrainians are scatered all over.I do not know how much money and goods are being send to Ukraine each year.So its easy to say about diaspora should do this do that,you are talking about large sum of money no matter what even in these countries too.I do not know if there are any millioners of all the imegrants.But Ukraine has quite a few. The Ukrainian-Canadians,Ukrainian-Americans help Ukraine in politics and economy as much as they can.You have to remember we are minorities,no matter what country in the world we are in.So the rest is on the shoulders of all the people in Ukraine no matter who they are.If people will not support their own at any cost you know what will happen.I know its not easy to strugle with hardship no matter where or what country you live.Thru history,since Kyiven-Rus people of Ukraine lived in strugle and hardship almost lost their identity,if we let it slip thru our fingers now, there will be no more or onother chance.History of Ukraine show's we do not have to many friends or allies to help us in our strugle for "FREE INDEPENDED UKRAINE"only graby,harboring hands that want piece or whole of Ukraine,and enslave its people,we can not afford to give anything at this time or ever in the future.People have to support Ukraine at any cost.Freedom is not easy to come by,or is cheap.Its only my opinion.
