I second your feeling of being proud to be of the same heritage that i am. the term rusenyn was used extensively by the poles when they refer to the ukrainians, the ukrainians in turn called them lahe(s) -- old rags-- the russians called us hahols--we called them kazapes-- he-goats-- in reality the roman after conquering part of ukraine labelled the country:
Ruthenia--- remember that Wladimir the great was a Rus
monarch-- they also created a province : the little Gallia, or Gallicia which also has its counter part in Spain and the UK that is Wales--this is the reason why for so long our own history or pertenance has been negated, denied or used to force integration of our ancestors into different imperial entities, were they to be swedish, lithuanian, polish, austro-hungarian, russian, etc. but like the jews who prior to enter the extermination chamber used to sing "die gedenken sind frei" our people refuse to bend and this is one of the reason you and I are proud to be what we are. UKRAINIAN OF KOZAKS STOCK!!! SLAVA UKRAINI I SVOHO
NARODU. Danylo.
