I did business in Ukraine from 1992 to 1999. I paid thousands in that time for visas which in Ukraine is just another name for a bribe. Now they want it so that every city I visit, they want a visa or to be registered. How we often forget that the goofballs are the government and the corruption therein. I was going to go back this year to reinvest but I'm not because of the visa and registering requirements. When I was there, every time I got pulled over in my car I paid bribes to the police because no matter what, there was always something wrong with my passport or visa or registration. After getting married in Ukraine and living consistently there for years, I see that nothing has changed and Ukraine has just kissed 150 thousand doallars out the door.
