Thank you, P.G. I understand that the Green Card isn't a citizenship. But must you EVERY YEAR o every 2 years renew it? I speak about average people who won the Green Card.

Why it is interesting for me? I don't want to live in USA or Canada. But here in Europe you ask a permission of recidence, and must renew this permission every gap of time. After 5-10 years (depend on the country) you can obtain a permanent permission or can adopt a citizenship. But in this 5-10 years you don't know if you will be given for another permission or not. Occure the same with the Green Card or it's something as an European permanent permission?

: : Please, can you explain one thing? I suppouse what it is, but I have one doubd. If you receive a Green Card, you need renew it sometime or it is permanent? We here in Europe have only permission, and you can obtain a permanent permission only after 5 or even 10 years of life here. So this 5 year if you go to PMZH, you risk not to obtain one year the permission and have a lot of paper to do in Ukraine when you return...

: Lesia,I can tell you, that in the US the citizenship can be denied, not the greencard itself(if it's won in the lottery either granted as a result of ,for instance,B-1 working visa,as I try to do myself now). The obtaining of the greencard takes a long while and it's better to do it inside the US,with a lawyer, because in Kiev there are a lots of people waiting and it isn't worthy to leave the country, risking not to return. The citizenship can be denied for the criminal record(frauds, drunken driving,fighting...),failure to work, etc
