Lesia,I can tell you,that in the US the citizenship can be denied,not the greencard itself(if it's won in the lottery either granted as a result of ,for instance,B-1 working visa,as I try to do myself now).The obtaining of the greencard takes a long while and it's better to do it inside the US,with a lawyer,because in Kiev there are a lots of people waiting and it isn't worthy to leave the country,risking not to return.The citizenship can be denied for the criminal record(frauds, drunken driving,fighting...),failure to work,etc
