:The Rusyn language is Ukrainian.
::: As much as Ukrainian language is Russian, or Slovak language is Czech.

The official language of Trans Carpathian Rusyn state when that state declared independence as Ukrainian state in the early 1900's was Ukrainian.
:::In early 1900, Caraptho-Ukraine? Twenty years up and down for you is no problem. If people of Subcarpathia supported Msg.Voloshin government, why Galician Sychovyky had to defend it? How is it that in Czechoslovak army led by gen. Ludvik Svoboda (Buzuluk, 1943) were mainly Rusyns from Subcarpathia? They were fighting for Czechoslovakia, Podkarpatska Rus and not Ukraine. Under Dukla, 6000 of them died. They died for Podkarpatska Rus and Czechoslovakia not Ukraine. Don't spit on the graves of these Rusyn solders!

What other language would a Ukrainian state have.
::: The Ukrainian state should have the Ukrainian language if people of Ukraine wish to have it. However, Rusyns are the same human beings as Slovaks, Czechs, Hungarians, Ukrainians, Armenians etc., thus they have to have the Rusyn language. This is what they learn from their parents. Why should they start to learn a foreign language such as Slovak, Hungarian, Ukrainian or Russian etc.? It is not only unnatural but rather sick to force them to learn a foreign language first and not that what they learn from their parents.

Their goal was to someday reunify with the rest of Ukraine if the rest of Ukraine ever became free again.
::: This goal was of Ukrainian nationalists in Galicia and not Rusyns. KGB executed Msg. Voloshin because he opposed annexation of his Carpatho-Ukraine to USSR and its incorporation into Soviet Ukraine, though without Ukrainian nationalists from Galicia, there would be no Carpatho-Ukraine. (Read the article OUN y Karpats'ka Ukraina from Oleksander Kucheruk, Ukrains'ke Slovo, #44, (3044) Kyiv)

Do you propose the creation of a new language?
::: The Rusyn language is used in Slovakia, Hungary and Poland even in administration not only in schools according to the established policy in EU. It means in those regions were at least 20% of population speaks Rusyn. In Yugoslavia, Rusyn language has been officially used since 1972. (Rusyns were officially recognized as a nation in the former FR of Yugoslavia with similar rights as others since 1972.)

Do you not understand the simple fact of history that is now freely available?
:::This is an excellent question for you.

You should read publications by Vincent Shandor the first and only president of Carpatho-Ukraine.
:::Vincent Shandor was the first president of Carpatho-Ukraine as you are John Paul II.

Russia and Poland have not had much success in trying to change the ethnic identity of Ukrainians in any region. This is why most Rusyn remain true to their Ukrainian roots.
::: If the Ukrainian roots are so firm why was it necessary for Stalin to use KGB and SMERSH to convert Rusyns into Ukrainians? Why are you responding to my comments if the Ukrainian roots are so firm? Don't bother! Be self-confident and let those people to be Rusyns if they want to be Rusyns. If the roots are firm it will go away. You're wasting your time.

However some uneducated simple villagers were converted and many of these people somehow ended up in America.
:::Those uneducated simple villagers had a something what you lack, namely a common sense. They did pretty well in the USA. They have a decent life, unlike Rusyns and Ukrainians in Soborna Ukraina.

If this is what you are then, Mr. Rusyn, I am sorry to be harsh when I say to you that you are similar to a yanichar. The yanichar concept learned from Turkey in history and modified was a way for Poland and Russia to try to change the identity of Ukrainians to make Ukraine easier to colonize.
::: To be a yanichar and defend the small Rusyn nation cannot be harmful and destructive human activity. This is even not compatible with the definition of yanichiar because yanichiars used to serve "Big Power" and imperialistic aggression etc. What are very bad when nationalistic feelings dominate so much that nationalistic individuals loose their touch with humanity. Namely, when Ukrainian nationalists in the name of Soborna Ukraina, the second largest Slavic state, committed atrocities in Galicia against civil population because they happened to be Polish and not Ukrainians. Currently, these atrocities are investigated in Lublin (Poland).
