When I entered I was facinated by the wealth of the Ukrainian vyshyvka in her house. It was not the ordinary vyshyvka that all of us got used to. Everything is embroidered with beeds. They were sparkling like the drops of dew when the sun was hiding in the clouds of the quite evening. This young, charming, kind woman originally from Ukraine lets the art of the vyshyvka survive in the 21 century with a new look. When I asked her where she gets so much patience to create such a beautiful piece of art, she just replied:" I like doing it. I never had time to do this before, but now this is inspiration for me. It allows me to connect mentally with Ukraine." The beeded masterpieces, from little salfetky to wonderful men shirts and rushnyky, leave the fragile hands of pani Myroslava. To my own opinion this is the continuation of the ancient tradition of Ukrainian heritage that is transfered into the 21 century. Before leaving her house I take a look around her sparkling works and with the words-"Thank you, Ukrainians, for your fantasy and patience"-I close the door behind me.
P.S. Pani Myroslava also accepts the orders. If you are interested in her work just dial the number (with her permission I list the number) 301-834-8248 and connect with the artist of the vyshyvka of the 21 century.
