There are general ways for building wealth and for getting poverty.
Consecuently , their trade organizations have been designed to be primarily on the "profit for them, rip off for others" principle.
The first regional trade organization were Benelux (1948) and European Coal and Steel Community (1952) which now is called European Union (EU). It seems it doesn't contain losers.
Ukraine is different.
No, it is not invented new ways of building wealth or getting poverty. The only difference is that Ukraine follows to the latter ways because its current officials are not familiar with the former ones.
We did not steel any goods.
Barter, wage or pension arrears and breaking contracts are more common in Ukraine than in EU.
Therefore we should think more than twice before making deals with them.
Of course, this is a matter of experience, qualification, education.
It is prety much like dealing with Russia with well developed state corruption.
Corruption in a country is usually successfully used by its trading partners.
As for trafics 4% or 40% did not seem to help most of the WTO members.
Most of WTO members are more rich than Ukraine.
