Job Description:
The Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a one-year lecturer position in Ukrainian language and culture beginning Fall 2015, with the expectation of a subsequent two-year renewal. Applicants must be qualified to teach Ukrainian language at beginning and advanced levels, as well as a content course as negotiated with Slavic and Eurasian Studies and the Center for European Studies. Teaching duties will include a three course per semester load, with two Ukrainian language courses and one literature or culture course focusing on Ukraine and its surrounding region. The candidate must be open to the possibility of teaching a Ukrainian course online as part of (not in addition to) their 3/3 load. PhD in hand is required. Salary is based upon qualifications and experience.
