We are happy to inform you about the progress of the Central and Eastern
European Online Library (C.E.E.O.L.), a database providing electronic
access to full text PDF articles and e-Books on Central and Eastern
European humanities and social science subjects.
The library offers the possibility of institutional subscription and also
pay-per-view for individual access.
We would like to invite you to visit our website and take a look at our

. "Forum Bosnae", published by the "Medunarodni forum Bosna", Bosnia and
Herzegovina. Quarterly
journal for cultural, academic, social and political issues, entitled
Forum Bosnae. In the eleven
issues that have been published up to the end of the year 2001, the
journal has succeeded in its
basic objective - to encourage relevant authors from Bosnia and
Herzegovina, from the countries of
the former Yugoslavia, and from other Balkan circles and the world as

spiritual experience, social

. "Drustvena istrazivanja" - Casopis za opca drustvena pitanja (Social
Research - Journal for General
Social Issues) published by the "Institut drustvenih znanosti Ivo
Pilar", Croatia. "Drustvena
istrazivannja" is a journal of general social issues, promoting
thematic and disciplinary openness.
Therefore, it publishes articles and papers from different social
disciplines and humanities, but
also articles that cross the boundaries of particular disciplines.
. "Regio - Minorities, Politics, Society" published by "Teleki László
Intézet", Hungary. An annual
review of studies on Minorities, Politics, and Society. In English.
. "Sociológia" - Slovak Sociological Review, published by the
"Sociologický ústav - Slovenská
akadémia vied", Slovakia. Sociológia publishes original papers
written by sociologists in Slovakia
and abroad, sociological essays from our social, political and
cultural life. It presents

conferences and sociological congresses. It pays special attention to

"Republika" was born in March 1989,
founded by members of the Union for Yugoslav Democratic Initiative
(UYDI). Their goal: democratic
transformation of society and the state. Based on common sense and
previous experience in the
struggle for democracy, the founders saw as their key goal the
establishment, in law and practice,
of the basic principles of human rights; this would be done through
elections for the
constitutional assembly, that would adopt a new, democratic
constitution; hence, all problems and
issues would be solved in parliaments (of the federation and member
states), and not on
battlefields.
. "EuroJournal - Journal of Foreign Policy of Moldova" - published by
EuroJournal.org, an independent
online journal from Moldova dedicated to International Relations and
European affairs. EuroJournal
offers a collection of articles, research papers and documents
relevant for the thematic area of
the publication.
. "European Integration Studies", published by University of Miskolc. The
publication focuses on the
theoretical and practical issues of the European integration and on
the accession of Hungary to the
EU, primarily in relation with themes of legal harmonization, economic
and political integration,
as well as the history and operation of the different institutions of
the EU. In English and
French.
. "Medzinárodné otázky - Casopis pre medzinárodné vztahy, medzinárodné
právo, diplomaciu,
hospodárstvo a kultúru" (International Issues - Journal for
International Relations, International
Law, Diplomacy, Economics, and Culture), published by Research Center
of the Slovak Foreign Policy
Association (RC SFPA)
Archeology & history
. "Estonian Journal of Archaeology", published by "Teaduste Akadeemia
Kirjastus", Estonia. Estonian
Journal of Archaeology (published from 1997 to 2003 as the Journal of
Estonian Archaeology) is the
official publication of the Institute of History (Tallinn), the
University of Tartu and the
Estonian Academy of Sciences. The journal is published twice in year:
in June and December. Main
languages of publishing are English and Estonian; all papers in
Estonian have an extended summary
in English and vice versa. The journal has an international editorial
board. All articles are peer
reviewed and the majority of issues also contain reviews or
discussions on archaeological
literature. The journal is open to authors from Estonia and from
abroad providing the
contributions which meet the requirements of scientific papers.
Articles dealing with
archaeological materials of Estonia and neighbouring areas around the
Baltic Sea and in North
Eastern Europe are preferred. All archaeological periods are covered;
both archaeological and
interdisciplinary papers, review articles and debates are all sought.
Philology / Linguistics
. "Keel ja Kirjandus" (Language and literature), published by "SA
Kultuurileht", Estonia.
. "Zmogus ir zodis" (Man and the Word), published by the "Vilniaus
pedagoginis universitetas",
Lithuania. The journal "Man and the Word" consists of 4 parts:
"Didactic Linguistics", "Science of
Literature", "Foreign Languages", "Philosophy". It is published by
Vilnius Pedagogical University.
The journal endeavors to publish significant research articles in the
humanities and social
sciences on philology, philosophy. All four parts of the journal are
published each year since
1999. Papers can be submitted in the Lithuanian, Russian, English,
German, French, Italian Polish
and other languages. Each volume of the magazine contains information
for authors in English and
Lithuanian. Manuscripts submitted for publication should contain
indication of objectives, aims,
methods of the research, results and conclusions. The article is
preceded by summary in English and
Lithuanian not less than 600 characters in total. The list of
references is printed in the end of
the manuscript. Each article is reviewed by two persons and discussed
at the editorial board. The
editorial board consists of foreign scientists, too.
Theology/Religion
. "Soter" published by "Vytautas Magnus University", Lithuania. Soter had
been published since 1924
by University Vytauti Magni faculty of Theology-Philosophy and renewed
in 1999 at the Faculty of
Catholic theology at Vytautas Magnus University.
2 annual volumes are published in Lithuanian, English, German and
Russian languages.
Fine arts
. "Kurybos erdves" (The Spaces of Creation) - published by the "VsI
Siauliu universiteto leidykla",
Lithuania. The refereed semi-annual journal "Kurybos erdves" was
initiated by the Art Research
Centre (director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rytis Urniezius) with the assistance
of the Faculty of Arts of
Siauliai University, Lithuania. A significant support was extended by
the Rector's office of the
University. It publishes original articles on arts research,
musicology, art criticism, other
fields of art, also of arts education. One of the main goals of the
journal is to publish works by
scientists and art educators from Siauliai town and Siauliai region as
well as from the other parts
of Lithuania in collaboration with various educational and research
institutions and individual
scientists abroad.

. "Tautosakos darbai" (Folklore studies) published by the "Lietuviu
literaturos ir tautosakos
institutas", Lithuania.
. "Ethnologie Balkanica" - The journal is published jointly by the
International Association for
Southeast European Anthropology (InASEA), the Institut für
Volkskunde/European Ethnology at Munich
University, and the Ethnographic Institute with Museum of the
Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia.

Philosophy
. "Filozofija i Drustvo" (Philosophy and Society), published by the
"Institut za Filozofiju i
Drustvenu Teoriju", Serbia and Montenegro.
. "Znak" (The Sign) - published by the "Spoleczny Instytut Wydawniczy
"Znak"", Poland. Established
in 1959 Znak is generally credited for publishing quality works in
fiction and non-fiction:
philosophy, religion, social sciences, history and film.
Gender studies
. "Genero", published by "Centar za zenske studije i istrazivanja roda" -
Beograd, Serbia and
Montenegro. Genero is the new name of the journal in feminist theory,
Women's Studies, which the
Center had published during seven years since 1995. Genero follows the
conception and established
tradition of the former journal and the Center as the whole -
interdisciplinarity, critical
approach towards science and culture topics, affirmation of the right
to a difference, questioning
of the issues of identity, emphasizing the contributions of domestic
and authors from the region.
. "Gender rovné prílezitosti výzkum" (Gender, Equal Opportunities,
Research), published by the Czech
Academy of Sciences, Sociology Department.
Law
. "Puls" (The Pulse), published by "Centar za menadzment", Serbia and
Montenegro. The Pulse is a
corruption-monitoring monthly, which contains information on all
developments, policies, problems,
issues and processes relating to corruption in Serbia and Montenegro,
as well as briefly summarized
results of the expert work on the design of new laws and platforms to
fight corruption. It is an
essential reading for all those who are or intend to become leaders in
the policy to promote
integrity and modern European conduct of business, public
administration, and related fields. The
Pulse concentrates on prominent issues that are significant for the
development and regeneration of
southeastern Europe, with a special focus on Serbia and Montenegro.
The Pulse is issued in Serbian
language.
Theatre and Performing arts
. "Slovenske divadlo" (Slovak Theatre), annually published by "Slovenská
akadémia vied - Kabinet
divadla a filmu", Slovakia. The journal has been published since 1953.
It is the only illustrated
theoretical and historical magazine in Slovakia for the theatre, film,
radio, and television.
Economy
. "Ekonomicky Casopis" (Journal of Economics), published by the
Institute of Slovak & World Economy
SAS and Institute for Forecasting SAS. The journal brings out
articles, discussion contributions
analytical studies from the field of economic theory, economic policy,
theory and results of socio
economic forecasting, of monetary theory and policy, corporate
management, banking, mathematical
modeling, cross-sectoral and industrial economies as well as of
regional and social development. It
deals with the issues of world economy and the process of
globalization, the history of economic
thoughts and national economy. It brings profiles of influential
Slovak and foreign economists,
reviews of theoretical studies and reports from scientific life.
Journal of Economics is documented
in the Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences, Social
Sciences Citation Index and also in
the electronic version of index EconLit.
