We all know how Ukraine is a world leader among corrupt states.  International watchdog organizations and respectable newspapers remind us on a regular basis.
The other day a news item reported that Senator Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska), who enjoys the benefits of "socialized" medicine, announced that he will vote against any plans of the current administration to create a public health insurance plan to compete with private health insurers.  The reason?  It would disadvantage the private companies, who, as we all know, are very concerned about the health of Americans. Today, the freshly baked "Democratic" Senator from Pennsylvania, Arlen Specter, made a similar announcement.
It turns out that Senator Nelson has received about $230,000 from the health insurance industry over the last four years and more than $600,000 from insurance companies overall.
I cannot wait for Transparency International, The New York Times, etc. to tell us how thoroughly corrupt those no good, fuc%#ng Ukrainians are.
