*Please note the additional course offering, _Ukraine as Linguistic 
Battleground,_ taught by Michael S. Flier, Oleksandr Potebnja Professor 
of Ukrainian Philology, Harvard University.*

International students requiring F-1 visas and all students seeking 
financial aid need to submit their applications for the HUSI 2009 
program by Monday, March 16, 2009, for consideration.  All other 
students have until Tuesday, May 26, 2009.  The application packet is 
available for download from our website,

*FLAS funding may be available to qualified graduate students who are US 
citizens.*

The seven-week program features three levels of intensive Ukrainian 
language instruction taught by native speakers, as well as courses with 
distinguished scholars in Ukrainian history, linguistics, and 
literature.  These courses are supplemented by a cultural program of 
lectures, literary readings, performances, and films.
