Ukraine approaches the presidential elections in January 2010
with the worst economic crisis in Europe and divided elites
who have lost public trust, including President Viktor Yushchenko
whose popularity has reached an all-time low.
Five years of crises and instability have bedeviled Orange Ukraine
and the next nine months will decide
the domestic and geo-strategic ramifications of
who will replace Yushchenko as Ukraine's next President.
