*Fall Seminar Series in Ukrainian Studies

**Monday, October 6 *
The Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute will host a seminar given
by *Taras Koznarsky*, Associate Professor of Ukrainian Literature,
University of Toronto and  a Eugene and Daymel Shklar Fellow this fall
at HURI.  His talk is entitled "Art, Life, and Tradition in Viktor
Domontovych's Novel 'Bez gruntu'." 

Professor Koznarsky received his Ph.D at Harvard University. 
In pursuing his research interest in Ukrainian and Russian literature in 
the first half of the 19th century, he is currently preparing for 
publication a monograph entitled /Empire, Identity, and Cultural 
Exchange: The Shaping of Ukrainian Discourse, 1800s-1840s./

The seminar will be held in Room
S-050 of  the CGIS Building South at 4 pm.  The South Building of the
Center for Government and International Studies is located at 1730
Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
