Might I suggest an arguably more influential initiative than
convincing editors to transliterate from the Ukrainian. Contact
diaspora Ukrainian newspaper editors, tell them form a consortium,
approach "Ukrainian" airlines flying from major EU and North American
cities, and arrange to distribute their newspapers on flights. It is
appalling to  see RUSSIAN newspapers given out on  the so-called
"Ukrainian" airlines.
