It takes me great pleasure to share with you the good news I have just learned this morning. AAUS's own Catherine Wanner, Associate Professor of History and Anthropology at the Pennsylvania State University, has been named the winner of the 2008 Heldt Prize for best book by a woman in any area of Slavic/East European/Eurasian studies, for her study _Communities of the Converted: Ukrainians and Global Evangelism_ (Cornell University Press, 2007).
