Power corrupts some people, and absolute power corrupts some people
absolutely. What people is this saying about? Is everyone corruptible?
Why? And if so, are we doomed? And if not, where would the hope come
from? Can such hope fight billions of corrupt dollars in the hands of
all-powerful oligarkhs in a poorly democracy-aware country? Or is
"managed democracy" a-la Yulia Tymoshenko and Vladimir Putin [the
Chinese way] the only realistic way for stable social evolution in
Ukraine?
