Because "Israel-Gaza" and unregulated untaxed capital flows define
world politics and these are the issues kyivan politicians and our
Ukrainian specialists abroad must
deal with. Not vacuous statements about "braterstvo."
1. Occupation = arab hate of israel and all supporters = excuse for US
war in mid east = rationale for continuation of US mil-industrial
complex and the de facto termination of the US CONST and rule of law
by the "Patriot
Act".
2. Saudi support for anti-israel fundamentalists = US mistrust of
Saudis' = war in Iraq/Iran to control alternative oil source = secure influence
over Japan and China whose oil mainly from mid-east = secure billion
dollars daily loans from them because US is bankrupt.
3. no regulation over capital flows = democratically elected and other
gov subject to policy dictates by unelected bankers and financiers who
withdraw capital if dislike policies = cuts or abolition of public
education, public health care, social services, environmental control
etc etc = shutdown manufacturing jobs in dev countries with pensions
min wage laws and unions for skilled adults, for walmarts/macdonalds
with part-time non union jobs for unskilled adolescents. Rise in crime
by unemployed, meanwhile, big profits for private corporations who
now given gov subsidies to run prisons.
4 US gov subsidies to US food corp allows to export food to third
world so cheap that undersells local farmers in third world =
disspossession either to plantations to farm cash crops for export
but don't get paid enough to buy food, or swell urban slums where also
don't get paid = hunger despite rising profits for the food
corporations like CARGILL ,
All this, in turn, defines the international division of labour, in
which Ukr has its place, and which leads to ukrainians selling junk
from boxes on streetcorners to make ends meet.
What will Obama rubbish about brotherhood
change in all this?? If anyone can make these links better than me
please do. If not, lets not hear anymore about US elections on this
list.
