Subject: Looking for volunteer translators
Dear all,
I am a former student at Harriman and I am now working with a coalition
of civil society organizations committed to working on the Darfur
crisis. One key issue in resolving the crisis at the moment is ensuring
that the peacekeeping mission on the ground in Darfur (UNAMID). One the
critical components missing from that mission is helicopters and many of
the countries which would be in a position to donate these helicopters
are in Eastern Europe.
We are preparing a report which highlights which countries would have
the capacity to contribute helicopters and will accompany this with a
two page advocacy letter. We feel that our message is more likely to be
heard if we present it in the national language and are therefore
looking for volunteers to translate it into Romanian, Czech, and Ukrainian.
Please contact me by e-mail at olivia.bueno at refugee-rights if you would
be in a position to assist.
Best wishes,
Olivia
