Generally, Josh Marshall aka Talkingpointsmemo.com is fairly credible when
it comes to domestic U.S. politics. However, he's taken to citing data on
Ukraine with the escalation of the Georgia-Russia conflict in the last
week. Mostly, this has been in the context of polling data on the subject
of Ukraine's membership in NATO. Most recently, he has the following
posting:
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/208700.php
citing ->private<- polling data. It shows that of a thousand people
surveyed only 22% would approve Ukraine's membership in NATO.

While recent polls (through June?) have shown about 60% are against
membership, 78% seems to be a case of data-mining (choose the data that
you want supporting your position). Has anyone come across polls with this
sort of balance?

What would be more interesting is to see an unbiased/scientific poll that
shows taken in the last several days.
