If you are from the USA, then meet her in Poland. She needs nothing to go there and neither do you (other than passports!) LOT Polish Airlines has non-stop service to Warsaw from JFK and Newark, and the best fares by far. But why not visit Ukraine and meet her there? Unless you have been banned from Ukraine as a banderite subversive, you should have a super time there. Take it from one who knows - six trips in last seven years and checking flights now for June.
