If you need to bring in cash into Ukraine, you can just do it via a bank ATM card. I came into Ukrain with maybe $300 US and left Ukriane with $150 US.
The whole time i was there I withdrew money from an ATM but i did have pay a price of $6 for every $100 I took out. But i rather do that then be involved with customs about bringing in money.
