I was married to a Ukrainian last year in Kiev, and we both live in Ukraine now. The US Embassy recommended we not get the K3 spousal visa, but rather go through Warsaw and get a proper IV (immigrant visa) using the I-130. It's been a lot of work, and we're unhappy that we have to go to Poland to do the interview, but that will change after Feb. 2005. I also suggest getting a fiance visa, and getting married in the US. It was a big hassle to do it in Kiev, and I'd only recommend it if you are the adventurous type and don't mind standing in lots of lines. I've written an article about this that I'll post later.
