: Hi:
: from a legal standpoint, getting married in Ukraine is the worst thing you guys can do. It will tremendously delay your future wife's immigration process. If you want a professional advice on that - give me a call at 9172511896. I graduated from the law schools both in Ukraine and in the US and am married to an American citizen.
: Good luck!

Actually, with K-3 and K-4 visas, the process has speeded up from before. Probably the fastest way to bring a future spouse to the US is to file a fiancee visa, but one cannot be married when the visa petition (and later the visa application) are filed. In most cases, one must also have met the fiancee during the 2 years prior to the filing of the visa petition.
There may be reasons why people want to get married abroad, however. For those persons, the K-3 visa is a good option.
