Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't see it when I posted a follow up to Izmayil_Bound. As long as she can get back into the US, that would work very well. I wonder if things have gotten any stricter post 9/11.


: I actually would suggest that you get tickets on your wife's maiden name both ways and forget about changing the passport. I have been married for more than 4 years, and though my green card, drivers license, etc. are on my married name, my passport is in my maiden name and as Izmayil_Bound it is really a hassle to correct it (I did not want even to try after learning about the procedure). I always get airline tickets on my maiden name, and make sure that I have a copy of my marriage license with me but so far no one (even INS officers on the boarder) asked for it... I've been to Ukraine twice, and no problems what so ever...
