I know at least four people who used so called fake ss # and paid their taxes with these #. when it came to getting legalized (either Green card winners or married to US citizens) INS officers had no questions regarding these ss. It seems like as long as your pay you taxes u are fine even with fake ss. just don't panic at the interview and don't rush to hire legal help because most likely they won;t be able to help u until your husband gets his citizenship
I've been married to permanent resident for almost 3 years. This wouldn't allow me to have working permit, so I was using fake SS# and tax id# to file my taxes. My husband applied for a sitizenship last May, so hopefully he will get it by the next May. I have question now: would I have any problems in the future because of using unexisting SS#?
